When these 5 people randomly met in 1999, it was the start of a greater love that would fill the hearts of billions of people, knowing no boundaries or race. It was the start of a rainbow-filled journey full of laughter and tears. As they chased their dreams with their feet on the ground and their heads in the clouds, the poorly tuned harmony they once sung was slowly being etched into our hearts and souls giving us more reasons to smile, laugh, cry, hope and believe in this world we once thought that was only filled with blacks and whites.

9 years ago today, NEWS was born. I can’t begin to express how much this group means to me. Since this time last year, these boys (or should I say men) have gone through so much. There have been times where they thought of quitting, but instead they’re here, as strong as ever. They gave us a best album, new single, and tour within the course of a few months. I’m so proud that they dealt with their frustrations and kept going. It must have been harder for them, than it was for us, the fans. I’ve been a fan for quite some time now, and as long as they keep going, I’ll always be a fan.
I want NEWS to go on forever and I think we can really do that.
